This Season, Michael Will Perform His 20th Illusion For The Series, Along With Many Other Spectacular Feats, Never Seen Before on TV.  The Series Premieres Friday, June 30, At 8:00PM.
LOS ANGELES, CA – June 13, 2017 – Illusionist Michael Grandinetti is always up for a challenge.  For the past 20 years, Grandinetti has made a name for himself across the country with such stunning feats as levitating in a stadium while surrounded by 70,000 people, causing a 200 piece orchestra to read the minds of an audience and play songs only thought of, and even making a 20ft American Flag appear on the White House Lawn for Easter.
Returning as one of the featured performers on The CW’s hit series “Masters of Illusion”, Grandinetti, who has been named by Entertainment Weekly as “a great magician who can truly communicate with a TV audience” and by Hidden Remote as “a fan favorite”, is aiming to top his past performances in all three seasons with a batch of brand new illusions that combine his signature elements of drama, suspense, and comedy, with music, personality, and audience participation.
Since the show’s premiere in the summer of 2013, Michael has performed some of his favorite illusions on the show’s Hollywood stage, including levitating an unsuspecting audience member under bright lights, shrinking a dancer to the size of a basketball, causing live goldfish to appear from his bare hands, and vanishing from high above the stage and reappearing in the center of the audience.  The video of Michael’s performance on last season’s premiere went viral and this season will include Michael’s 20th illusion that he has performed on the series (a stunning, never before seen illusion with a 40″ spinning buzz saw).
Currently airing in over 100 countries around the world and hosted by actor Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Masters of Illusion is a show the entire family can enjoy, with weekly illusions, escapes, comedy magic, sleight of hand, and more, all performed before a live audience.  Premiering on June 30 at 8pm, 13 all-new episodes were filmed for the season.  A few of the new surprises Michael has in store this year include:

Melting Through An Industrial Fan
Michael attempts to pass his body through the spinning metal blades of a 5ft diameter industrial aircraft fan, and hopefully emerge unharmed on the other side.
The Mind Reading Mouse
In this surprising effect, Michael uses a live, white mouse to read the mind of an audience volunteer.  This has to be seen to be believed.
Visible Buzz Sawing in Half
Giving one of magic’s classics a modern touch, Michael visibly divides a girl in half with a 40″ spinning buzz saw.  Then, without any cover, her halves are separated across the table top, as she continues to smile, laugh and interact with the audience
The Borrowed Object Challenge
Watch as Michael creates a slow motion close-up illusion, as a borrowed pencil dramatically melts right through the center of a borrowed twenty dollar bill.  This effect, which takes place only inches away from the audience, looks like a Hollywood special effect, LIVE.
Test Conditions Levitation
Known for his stunning levitation illusions, Michael suspends a dancer in mid-air while the camera films the magic from 360 degrees.
Michael’s career history includes performances on television series and specials (NBC’s The World’s Most Dangerous Magic, CW’s Masters of Illusion, Pop’s Don’t Blink, FOX’s Bones, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, SportsCenter, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Hollywood Christmas Parade), for NFL halftime and NBA halftime shows in massive stadiums and arenas, with Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and symphony orchestras, in theaters, casinos, and arenas around the country and even at The White House.  Michael was also the first illusionist ever invited to appear in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC, where he levitated a girl high above a float as it moved down Constitution Avenue as 250,000 people lined the streets.

Michael Grandinetti Returns for Fourth Season of Hit CW Series MASTERS OF ILLUSION

C3 Entertainment Inc. Bridges Classic Entertainment Such as The Three Stooges with Contemporary Brands

Three Stooges fans really are wise guys. When the calendar rolls over to any of The Boys’ birthdays, fans call the offices of C3 Entertainment, the brand owner of The Three Stooges, to wish them a happy birthday.C3 2 Info

Sometimes they even call to ask if The Boys are still alive. The staff just laughs and enjoys the calls as if they were one of the Stooges’ famous bits. “It’s actually a good sign, especially if it’s a younger person calling because it reinforces their contemporary relevance,” Marketing and Social Media Manager Andrea DeLesDernier says.

The Three Stooges silly slapstick comedy remains just as popular today among longtime fans and all generations. Even after 20 years with the company, Ani Khachoian, executive vice president of licensing, merchandising and distribution, still finds herself surprised by some of the requests she receives. She’s been asked to sign off on everything from clearances for a Three Stooges-themed birthday cake to rap lyrics. “I’ve seen throughout the years younger generations and more women become fans,” Khachoian says.

Maintaining Legacy

C3 Entertainment is the company charged with introducing The Three Stooges’ laughs and nyuks to each new generation. The Three Stooges founded the company as Comedy III Productions Inc. in 1959 to handle their licensing and productions.

Six decades later, C3 continues to evolve. The licensing of Stooges’ materials still makes up the bulk of its business, but in the last five years, the company has added other brands as well as content distribution. “You won’t find a lot of licensing agencies that also do content distribution and productions,” Khachoian says.

C3’s library of more than a thousand hours of content consists of many Three Stooges titles, which include 156 cartoon episodes, to feature films in many genres, including faith-based, romantic comedies and cult horror movies, military and historical documentaries and educational programs for children. Khachoian says content distribution was a natural evolution for the company with the rise of streaming services such as Hulu and Amazon. But its distribution is not limited to digital; C3 distributes content globally for cable and network broadcasts and home entertainment products. C3 also produces TV specials and feature films for theatrical distribution on a worldwide basis.

Content distribution is only a part of the expansion going on at C3. The Three Stooges have long been intertwined with the company’s lineage, but C3 also represents other brands and personalities that span generations. Some of these brands include pioneering rock ‘n’ rollers Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson, famously known as “The Big Bopper.”

C3 is also developing a licensing program for John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party, a traveling tribute show commemorating the 1959 tour of musical legends Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper that ended tragically when the three musicians and their pilot were killed in a plane crash, widely referred to as “The Day The Music Died.”

The acts may be considered oldies rock, but Khachoian says Valens, The Big Bopper, and Holly are still appreciated by listeners, and their timeless music continues to inspire today’s biggest artists. “[Valens] was the first Latino rock star, so there’s nothing old about that,” she says. Valens especially resonates with a younger cross-cultural audience.

The company represents modern talent and brands as well. Celebrity Chef Jason Santos, who operates three restaurants in Boston; Magician Michael Grandinetti, a staple on CW’s Masters of Illusion; and world-renowned artist, Marc Lacourciere, better known as Motor Marc, are among C3’s more contemporary personalities. Recent additions to the company’s brand roster include National Day Calendar and the Rainbow Valley Fire Department education series for children.

Brands come to C3 both through existing relationships and C3’s recognition as a top global licensor. “We pick and choose who we want to represent and our brands all have broad and enduring appeal,” Khachoian says.

Serving Clients

The diversity of its brands sets C3 apart from most other licensing companies. Where others might focus on brands in a specific entertainment field, C3 represents brands across a wide spectrum. “It’s fun and challenging because it’s a little bit of everything,” Khachoian says.

The range of its brands enables the company to touch multiple industries, but it also leaves few opportunities for overlap and cross-promotion. Each brand must be handled on its own merits and C3 challenges itself to be creative in finding licensees and other opportunities.

“There isn’t a rock I’ve left unturned,” Khachoian says. “I go everywhere. I reach out to everybody. Licensing is one of those things where the sky is the limit. Whatever you can think of, you can license.” As an example, Motor Marc’s artwork will appear on collectible rifles. Ritchie Valens’ name and likeness appear on Soy Capitan Cola released in the first quarter of 2017. Then there is The Three Stooges evergreen brand. “How many classic comedy brands can you think of that have

products at market in virtually every category?” Khachoian says.

As popular as The Three Stooges brand is, C3 knows it must produce new Three Stooges content to keep the classic comedy trio relevant to modern audiences.

The company is working on the next new Three Stooges feature film that will reunite Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes and Will Sasso, who played Moe, Larry and Curly in 2012’s The Three Stooges Movie and is currently scheduled to begin production in 2018.

For younger fans, C3 is working on The Three Little Stooges, a movie featuring 12-year old versions of Larry, Moe and Curly. The film is slated to begin production this year. “Having new productions is vital to help drive demand for our licensing programs,” Khachoian says.

Continuing she says, “We have worked very hard to achieve this marketplace success with The Three Stooges brand and expand the multigenerational fan base for the brand and we are very proud of our accomplishments.”

One of the popular performers on the show, Michael has performed some of his favorite illusions on the series over the past two years, including levitating 10 feet above the stage, shrinking a girl to the size of a basketball, causing live goldfish to appear from his bare hands, and vanishing from high above the stage and reappearing in the center of the audience.  For the upcoming season, Michael undertook the challenge of developing and performing all new illusions with the goal of amazing audiences even further.  Some of the never before seen illusions that Michael unveiled for this year include:

Audience Member Levitation
The classic levitation illusion is pushed to its limits as Michael suspends an unrehearsed audience member in mid-air while isolated in the center of the stage and as the camera moves completely around the magic.

The Body Eraser
Michael visibly causes half of his body to disappear, while the other half continues to interact with the audience.  This one looks like a Hollywood special effect LIVE.

Sleight Of Hand Magic
Using a borrowed dollar bill and a borrowed purse from a member of the audience, Michael creates a surprising teleportation illusion that was the talk of the show.

Magic In The Center Of The Audience
Taking the magic away from the stage, Michael attempts to create one of magic’s most famous effects, right in the center of the audience.

Blue Box Teleportation
An audience member, while filming with his camera, takes an unexpected ride in this roller coaster of an illusion filled with surprises and the unexpected.

Not your ordinary magician, Michael Grandinetti is a modern young illusionist with a contemporary style, an engaging personality, and an inventory of stunning original illusions.  Michael’s career history includes performances on television series and specials (NBC’s The World’s Most Dangerous Magic, CW’s Masters of Illusion, Pop’s Don’t Blink, FOX’s Bones, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, SportsCenter, The Bold and the Beautiful), for NFL halftime shows while surrounded by 70,000 people, with Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and symphony orchestras, in theaters, casinos, and arenas around the country and even at The White House.  Michael was also the first illusionist ever invited to appear in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC, where he levitated a girl high above a float as it moved down Constitution Avenue as 250,000 people lined the streets.  This past December, Michael performed on Hollywood Blvd for the 84th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, broadcast to millions around the world and, just last month, he performed NBA halftime shows for both the Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls game (Milwaukee, WI), and the record setting Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs game (Oakland, CA).  In that one week alone, over 40,000 people witnessed Michael’s magic LIVE.

Illusionist Michael Grandinetti Brings Halftime Magic To The NBA This AprilMichael Will Perform Halftime Shows For Both The Milwaukee Bucks And The Golden State Warriors,While Audiences Watch The Magic With A 360 Degree View

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 31, 2016 – This spring, Michael Grandinetti is bringing magic to the masses when he performs two NBA halftime shows around the country.  On April 3, Michael will perform for the Milwaukee Bucks game at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.  Later in the week, Michael will bring his illusions to halftime at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA for the Golden State Warriors game on April 7.  With both games involving strong team rivalries, each is set to be a near sell-out.  This means that, in one week, nearly 40,000 people will witness Michael’s magic LIVE.

Over the past several years, Michael has performed nearly 30 large-scale shows for NFL, NBA, major and minor league baseball and college basketball games.  He recently performed at the Arizona Cardinals vs Baltimore Ravens ESPN Monday Night Football game at University of Phoenix Stadium, along with legendary rock band Journey, for a sold out crowd of over 60,000 people.  He’s also performed for the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, Kansas City Royals, USC, Penn State, and the Atlantic 10 Championship in New York City.  Last spring, Michael’s halftime performance for the Chicago Bulls playoff game at United Center caused commentators Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley to react with surprise and amazement live on the air during the “NBA on TNT” broadcast.

During Michael’s upcoming NBA shows, he is planning to perform several grand illusions, in the round, each with a distinct basketball theme, including shrinking a girl to the size of a basketball and levitating 10ft above center court to reach the game ball for the second half.

Michael is certainly one of the country’s busiest entertainers.  His magic has been featured in national and international television specials and series (NBC’s “The World’s Most Dangerous Magic”, The CW’s “Masters of Illusion”, Pop’s “Don’t Blink”, the FOX series “Bones”, The Bold and the Beautiful, Sports Center, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight), with Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and symphony orchestras, in theaters, casinos, and arenas around the country, in Washington DC’s National Independence Day Parade, and at The White House.  Last winter, Michael was a featured performer in the 84th AnnualHollywood Christmas Parade, broadcast worldwide, and he created a special performance blending magic and live music with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, in Huntsville AL.  This summer, Michael will be returning with all new illusions for his third season on the hit CW series “Masters of Illusion”.

Michael was recently honored to be the closing performer in the 60th Anniversary of the “It’s Magic!” show at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, in Cerritos, CA (on March 13).  A review of Michael’s performance, by an AXS.com reporter in attendance, can be viewed at the following link:

Michael Grandinetti bringing magic to venues nationwide this spring – article on AXS.com

In The News, Michael Grandinetti

Grandinetti_Cerittos_Axs_promoted-media_56ef1e979fa51AXS.com by Brittany Frederick / March 20, 2016

Awesome illusionist Michael Grandinetti is at it again this spring, bringing his magic act to some impressive venues. Live entertainment fans won’t want to miss these opportunities to see one of the top artists in his field as they travel the country.

Grandinetti recently was one of the featured performers in the 60th anniversary edition of the long-running revue It’s Magic, with AXS in attendance. As the closing act for the Mar. 13 performance at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, he was head and shoulders above everyone else – sometimes literally as he wrapped the show with his trademark levitation. He had complete command of the audience, which is not something that can be said for even some of the biggest magicians in the world.

But he’s not stopping there. Having played college halftime shows for Penn State and USC in February, Grandinetti will be taking his talents to the NBA in early April. He’ll be the featured performer at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee when the Milwaukee Bucks battle the Chicago Bulls on Apr. 3, and at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA for the San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors contest on Apr. 7.

Tickets for the Bucks game are available here and tickets for the Warriors game are available at AXS.

In January Grandinetti also taped several more illusions for The CW’s half-hour magic TV series “Masters of Illusion.” The series is scheduled to return on May 20 at 8 p.m., and he is expected to be included in that premiere episode. Fans will recall that Grandinetti was also asked to help promote the show when it aired last year, by conducting another astounding levitation on Hollywood Boulevard.

His plans for “Masters” this season include turning the tables to levitate a volunteer in the center of the stage, showing off his close-up magic skills with a borrowed purse, and performing a massive large-scale illusion directly in the center of the studio audience. He’s become one of the cornerstones of the series since it was revived in 2014 and he’s on track to blow viewers away again this year.

While his TV appearances are fantastic, audiences should take the chance to see Grandinetti in person if you can attend either of the upcoming halftime shows or any future live performances, as he normally keeps a busy touring schedule but has yet to announce additional dates for 2016. His illusions are that much more awe-inspiring when you can see them in front of you, and the way in which he presents them is second to none. If you’re looking for a genuinely surprising evening of entertainment, look no further than Michael Grandinetti.
