The Alex Film Society will be showing several shorts on the big screen using absolutely the best available 35mm prints and the theme for this year's Alex 'Stooge Fest' is Curly (and Shemp) Go Nutz!
Here's the lineup: Grips Grunts And Groans (1937); Tassels In The Air (1938); From Nurse To Worse (1940); Heavenly Daze (1948); Scrambled Brains (1951).

As a bonus, the short Beer And Pretzels from 1933 The Boys made for MGM will also be shown.
Family members of The Three Stooges will also be on hand for you to meet.

FILM PRESERVATION
The Alex Film Society is a non-profit, community arts organization founded in 1994 and is committed to the preservation of a classic movie palace – The Alex Theatre in Glendale – and films whose history is closely tied to this 79 year old facility. The Society's first program, presented in November 1994 was 'Gone With The Wind'. Since that date, the Film Society has screened 42 feature films and five programs of shorts in 116 performances over 60 play dates. The films have included Wizard Of Oz, Dr. Zhivago, Casablanca, Bride Of Frankenstein, The Adventures Of Robin Hood, The Maltese Falcon, Dracula and Dinner At Eight.
