| Alex Theatre presents The Three Stooges: 10th Annual Big Screen Event |

The Alex Film Society did more than ‘Pick Two’ for their 10th Annual Three Stooges Big Screen event on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale, California. Their Blue Ribbon Panel of Stoogeologists decided to pick five shorts as ‘The Best of The Best’. Quite a task since so many of the shorts are so good and every fan has their own list of favorites.

The audience’s reaction at both shows, with all the riotous laughter, told us that the Panel surely picked five winners! Will we tell which shorts they put up on the big screen in newly minted, pristine 35mm grandeur? Soitenly! The fans enjoyed Micro-Phonies, A Plumbing We Will Go, Hoi Polloi, Pop Goes The Easel and Punchy Cowpunchers. These five ‘spread out’ over 15 years of The Boys’ body of work, which is just another indication that The Three Stooges truly are the masters of mirth, merriment and mayhem.

The event was sold out, just like every year, with members of The Three Stooges families in attendance to meet the fans. The families of The Boys wanted us to make sure and publicly thank everyone involved that makes this such a great event year after year and add a special thanks to Frank Gladstone, who leads the effort and works at this all year around to give The Three Stooges fans a day to enjoy and remember.
