C3 Entertainment Licenses International, Government-Issued Stamps and Coins Honoring Ritchie Valens

Los Angeles, CA – June 7, 2019 C3 Entertainment, Inc., an entertainment company specializing in licensing, production, and distribution, has licensed Ritchie Valens International government-issued, collectible stamps, and coins via the philatelic network, Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation (IGPC). 

“Very excited to be working with IGPC again, as I know the quality of their work and the added value their products will bring to the Ritchie Valens brand,” said Ani Khachoian, Executive Vice President of Licensing & Consumer Products at C3 Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to be able to bring him to an international audience and expand into a whole new category.”

The initial release will include 1 to 2 custom stamp designs, then expand to eight stamp designs. They will be released on the East Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and will be available for purchase in all local post offices as early as July of this year. The book is slated to be released late June 2019 by Centerstream Publishing.

Currently teaching History of Rock n’ Roll at Iowa State University, author Ryan Sheeler takes an in-depth look at Ritchie’s music in a different light than other accounts. Included in the book, are photos and information on his famous guitars, as well as an observation into how he might have approached his playing.

Randall LarsenAs CEO of Randall Larsen Presents, the filmmaker chose Valorous TV as his streaming partner for his eye-opening documentary, Operation Whitecoat. Larsen’s most recent work is the documentary film, Black Hawk Down: The Untold Story, which was digitally released exclusively on Valorous TV on Veterans Day 2018. The film documents the heroic actions of the soldiers from Task Force 2-14 of the 10th Mountain Division in support of United Nations humanitarian operations. Library of Congress Selects Richie Valens’ ‘La Bamba’ For Preservation

Los Angeles, CA – April 4, 2019 – The latest slate of recordings chosen by the Library of Congress for special preservation in its National Recording Registry includes Ritchie Valens’ 1958 hit “La Bamba.”

This new batch brings the total number of recordings in the Registry to 525. The registry is based at the Library of Congress’s Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation, which houses more than 7 million items, considered the world’s most comprehensive collection of films, TV programs, radio broadcasts, and sound recordings.

This documentary film features never-before-seen footage, with stories told directly by the troops who were on the ground during the Battle of Mogadishu, as well as commentary by General Mark A. Milley, the 39th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army. Valorous TV is the exclusive streaming service to premiere this powerful documentary.

BlackHawkDown-DCCover Black Hawk Down: The Untold Story is a one-hour documentary on the heroic efforts of the soldiers from the 2nd Battalion 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (2-14). The documentary was originally released November 12, 2018, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the rescue mission and in conjunction with Veteran’s Day 2018.

The story of the 2-14 was left untold in the feature motion picture, Black Hawk Down (2001). These soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division demonstrated extraordinary courage, skill, and discipline as they fought their way into a “baited ambush” to rescue the 99 special operations forces pinned down at the crash site of Super Six-One while also attempting a rescue at the crash site of Super Six-Four – what many have described as the most ferocious urban combat since the Battle for Huế in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive in 1968.
