GLENDALE, CA –– February 13, 2014 –– C3 Entertainment, Inc., announced today the exclusive representation of world famous Celebrity Chef Jason Santos for worldwide licensing and merchandising.
Jason is familiar to TV fans as the eccentric chef with the electric blue hair from Gordon Ramsay’s hit television series Hell’s Kitchen and through his frequent appearances on CBS’ The Talk and The Early Show; The Today Show on NBC and his regular guest appearances on New England television stations.
Santos appeared as a special guest today on CBS’ The Talk where he cooked alongside Florence Henderson and The Brady Bunch cast.
Santos is known for his inventive style as evidenced by the cuisine and offerings at his three popular Boston area restaurants that are out-of-town destination dining hotspots. The presentations of Santos’ dishes are whimsical and inventive, but the flavors on his plates keep diners coming back for more. Jason’s cuisine seamlessly combines Asian, French and traditional American flavors with dazzling visual and textural twists that wow diners.
Santos and his three restaurants – Back Bay Harry’s, Blue Inc. and Abby Lane – have been featured on the Phantom Gourmet show; in the Boston Globe, on the cover of Stuff Magazine and in Zagat’s.
Ani Khachoian, C3’s Executive Vice President of Licensing & Consumer Products said ‘We are thrilled to add Jason to C3’s family of celebrity and iconic brands. We expect many licensing opportunities for Jason with initial offerings of cookbooks and cookware. In addition, since he is already an established television personality, C3’s Pablo Velez, Director of Development and Production, is already cooking up new TV projects for Jason.’
Santos said ‘C3 is the perfect fit. They get brands and they get me. I know they will be able to acquire licenses for me so I look forward to sharing Jason Santos Mayonnaise with the world one day.’
Santos defies expectations by challenging diners with unique flavor and texture combinations. ‘You have to systematically create complexity,’ he says of his thought process. ‘It sets creativity free.’ Jason takes his guests on a culinary adventure with his whimsical gastronomy.
Jason is a graduate of Newbury College in Newton, MA with a Culinary Arts degree and teaches culinary courses at both Boston University and Cambridge Rindge and Latin’s culinary programs.
Each year Santos donates his time to Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline, an organization dedicated to educating disadvantaged families on nutrition, and serves as the restaurant chair for ‘Taste of the Nation,’ Share Our Strength’s benefit to eliminate childhood hunger. Jason has also had the honor of cooking at the prestigious James Beard House in 2005, 2010 and 2012.
