LOS ANGELES, April 17, 2015 – Michael Grandinetti is no stranger to bringing his unique magic to larger than life venues. He recently performed an NFL halftime show at Bank of America Stadium, made the 7ft tall, 300lb Philadelphia Phillies mascot, The Phanatic, magically appear in the center of the outfield at Citizens Bank Park, levitated a girl above a float in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC while 250,000 people lined the streets, and performed one of the largest live interactive illusions in history when he predicted the thoughts of all 45,000 people in Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium at the same time. Last month, Michael performed the halftime show for the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship at Barclays Center in New York City.
Michael brought his magic to Chicago, when he performs for the Chicago Bulls Championship Playoff Game on April 20 at United Center. For this unique halftime show, an audience of 20,000 people watched the live magic and illusion, with a 360 degree view, as it takes place at center court.
During the show, Michael performed several illusions including shrinking a girl to the size of a basketball, visibly bringing one audience’s members thoughts to life, and levitating 10ft above the center of the court while the Chicago Bulls Cheerleaders, the Luvabulls, surround Michael while he floats. Michael will also be performing a pre-game illusion in which everyone in the arena will participate.
This is magic on a major scale and Michael loves the challenge of taking magic to these spectacular environments. “One of my favorite things about what I’m lucky enough to do is being able to explore taking my magic in so many different directions,” Michael said. “I love performing illusions on a large scale, but we also try to create ways to connect with audiences personally, even in these big arenas and stadiums.”
Michael Grandinetti has been amazing audiences around the world for over 20 years with performances on national and international television (NBC’s The World’s Most Dangerous Magic, CW’s Masters of Illusion, Entertainment Tonight, The Bold and the Beautiful), with Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and symphony orchestras, in theaters, arenas, and casinos, for Fortune 500 companies, and even at The White House. Last year, Michael was a headlining performer in “Masters of Magic” for a two-month engagement at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, NV, where he performed nightly on the world’s largest indoor stage. This summer, don’t miss Michael when he appears in season 2 of “Masters of Illusion” on The CW and POP TV’s new “Don’t Blink” series, featuring live magic and grand illusion performed on location throughout Los Angeles.
