Earl Benjamin, President & CEO of C3 Entertainment, Inc., announced today the launching of a new Three Stooges film franchise with an all-new motion picture tentatively titled The Three Little Stooges.
C3 brought out the last Three Stooges movie in 2012 with Fox Studios. C3 continues the great comedy legacy of The Three Stooges with film distribution deals for the new film with The Exchange.
The new Three Little Stooges will be based on 12-year old Larry, Moe and Curly in a hilarious new live-action family film featuring all the madcap comedy of little Larry, Moe and Curly, from an original screenplay written by Harris Goldberg (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Master of Disguise).
Casting Director Joey Paul Jensen, C.S.A., has commenced a nationwide search to find little Larry, Moe and Curly. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. C3’s Earl Benjamin and Robert Benjamin will executive produce, together with The Exchange CEO Brian O’Shea. C3’s Director of Development & Production, Pablo Velez, Jr. will serve as Producer.
The Exchange will present the film to international exhibitors worldwide. C3 Entertainment’s licensing division will handle merchandising and promotional tie-ins for the new film.
C3 CEO Earl Benjamin said “We are very excited to launch the all-new Three Little Stooges for Three Stooges fans to enjoy. This new version of Larry, Moe and Curly will entertain family members of all ages. Current fans and new fans will all laugh and enjoy the comedy antics of these little knuckleheads. We are also thrilled to partner with The Exchange on the making and distribution of this new film.”
“The Three Stooges are iconic, and on the level of such global comedy brands like Police Academy, Pink Panther, and Mr. Bean, it is truly exciting to bring this project to the international marketplace,” said O’Shea.
